In a significant upgrade to its education system, Jharkhand is introducing digital report cards in government schools, starting with 80 designated ‘Schools of Excellence’. This pilot phase represents a major step towards digitizing educational reporting and is expected to eventually cover all government schools across the state. The aim is to provide a more efficient and informative assessment tool.
The Sir JC Bose School of Excellence Girls, Giridih, will launch the digital report card initiative on December 5th. Principal Munna Prasad Kushwaha detailed that the report card for SA-1 will integrate scholastic and co-scholastic assessments. The scholastic component combines 40% weightage from term-end monthly exams with 60% from SA-1. The school’s Open House event will serve as a platform to demonstrate these advanced digital reports using projectors, offering an innovative way to present student achievements.
