During the final day of the monsoon session, Chief Minister Hemant Soren launched a strong attack on the opposition, accusing them of controlling constitutional bodies to hinder the government’s functions. He alleged that these bodies are being manipulated to create obstacles for the state government.
Soren highlighted the government’s commitment to improving the lives of all citizens, especially the marginalized communities. He compared the state’s government with those of the opposition in other states, emphasizing the conditions of tribals and minorities in those regions. Citing the example of Ladakh, he highlighted the central government’s actions against Somon Wangchu.
The CM also raised concerns about upcoming legislative amendments, questioning their purpose and underlying motives. He emphasized the significance of every vote in the electoral process and mentioned electoral irregularities. He criticized the lack of action against election commissioners.
Soren accused the opposition of deceptive practices and questioned the progress of the PM’s work plans. He also pointed out how the state’s mineral resources have enriched a select few, at the expense of the state’s overall development.
He also mentioned the Prime Minister’s Office monitoring of mine auctions and alleged the focus is on mining at the expense of other development. He said the opposition is politically exploiting the RIMS Two project. He accused the opposition of manipulating constitutional institutions, forming fraudulent parties. He concluded by underlining Jharkhand’s vision and urged the opposition to collaborate with the government for the state. Lastly, he questioned the opposition’s intentions to make the country a ‘Vishwaguru’ or to enrich themselves and their business associates and mentioned the Bharat Ratna proposal for Dishom Guru Shibu Soren by the Jharkhand Assembly.
