In a significant development, the police have arrested Kiran Kujur, the wife, and Godwin Tirkey, the lover, in the murder case of Julius Praveen Toppo from Zone Number-6, Birsanagar, Jamshedpur. The incident happened on February 24, 2023, and the circumstances of Julius’s death were deemed suspicious. The deceased’s mother, Julia Toppo, had filed a complaint against Kiran, Godwin, and others, accusing them of murder. According to the complaint, Kiran and Godwin were involved in an illicit relationship, leading to continuous disputes between the couple. They had agreed to a divorce settlement of Rs 10 lakh. Julius had already paid Rs 5 lakh through a demand draft, with the remainder pending. On February 23, 2023, Julius was discovered unconscious and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
