Hazaribagh district is set for an accelerated pace of rural development following a comprehensive review meeting chaired by District Magistrate Shashi Prakash Singh. The meeting meticulously examined progress on a wide array of schemes, including the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Ambedkar Awas Yojana, Abua Awas Yojana, Birsa Coop Samvardhan Yojana, Doba construction, Anganwadi schemes, Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, horticulture, PD generation, geo-tagging, Janman Yojana, and various Panchayati Raj functions. The review also covered ABPS, and JSLPS activities such as forming new Self-Help Groups (SHGs), credit linkage, Mudra loans, livestock support, producer groups, DDU-GKY, and PMFME. The District Magistrate issued clear directives for boosting PD generation and mandated BDOs and BPOs to identify and register impoverished families for MGNREGA employment, ensuring substantial human day creation. A critical aspect highlighted was the need for immediate and complete closure of all pending and older projects. Officials were directed to coordinate with the Animal Husbandry Department for sanctioning livestock schemes and to conduct field surveys for data collection on potential beneficiaries. The construction of toilets for PVTG communities through MGNREGA was also a specific mandate. The meeting emphasized the proper maintenance of nutrition gardens in schools and Anganwadi centers. BPOs were instructed to ensure 100% processing of job card applications from the ‘Government at Your Doorstep’ program and to issue job cards to all eligible individuals. The prompt completion of the Poto Ho Sports Development Scheme projects was also a key agenda item. BDOs are now required to conduct regular inspections of Anganwadi centers, verifying physical progress against online data. JSLPS schemes were reviewed, with a request for reports on banking partnerships and a focus on addressing SHG insurance issues. Finally, the District Magistrate provided guidance on expediting Aadhaar verification for PMAY, increasing vermicompost production, improving material supply, and enhancing the delivery of services under the Panchayati Raj system.
