In a remarkable display of athletic talent, students from Grizzly School have clinched gold medals at the recent selection trials for the 69th School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National School Sports Competition 2025-26. The prestigious event, held in Ranchi, saw over 200 participants from Jharkhand, with Grizzly School athletes emerging as top performers, earning their place in the national championship.
Guided by the skilled coaching of Saurav Kumar Pathak, seven male athletes from Grizzly School competed fiercely in the trials. Pankaj Raj, Piyush Kumar, Abhishek Kumar Yadav, and Sachin Kumar Yadav captured gold medals, securing the first position. Further adding to the school’s success, Shrikant Gupta, Adarsh Kumar, and Devanshu Kumar achieved third-place finishes, demonstrating the depth of talent within the school’s sports program.
This outstanding performance has secured qualification for four Grizzly School athletes in the upcoming 69th SGFI National School Sports Competition 2025-26. Pankaj Raj and Piyush Kumar will compete in the Under-14 age group, while Abhishek Yadav and Sachin Kumar Yadav have qualified for the Under-19 category.
