A wave of success has swept through Grizzly School as its athletes excelled at the 69th SGFI National School Games 2025-26 selection trials. Winning multiple gold medals, these young stars have not only achieved personal triumphs but have also brought significant recognition to their school and the Koderma district. The competitive selection event, hosted at the Ganpat Rai Indoor Stadium in Ranchi’s Khelgaon Mega Sports Complex, saw a strong turnout of over 200 athletes from across Jharkhand. Under the expert tutelage of coach Saurav Kumar Pathak, seven students from Grizzly School showcased their athletic capabilities with impressive performances. Pankaj Raj, Piyush Kumar, Abhishek Kumar Yadav, and Sachin Kumar Yadav emerged as champions, securing coveted gold medals and the top spot. Adding to the school’s glory, Shrikanth Gupta, Adarsh Kumar, and Devanshu Kumar also achieved podium finishes with their third-place wins. This remarkable achievement paves the way for four Grizzly School athletes to compete in the 69th SGFI National School Games. The Under-14 category will feature Pankaj Raj and Piyush Kumar, while the Under-19 category will see Abhishek Yadav and Sachin Kumar Yadav in action. School authorities praised the athletes and their coach, emphasizing that this success is a direct result of their sustained effort, discipline, and passion for sports.
