The 4th Jharkhand State Taekwondo Championship has concluded, with Godda district claiming the overall championship title. Athletes from Godda delivered an outstanding performance, securing a total of 16 gold, 19 silver, and 8 bronze medals during the intense three-day competition.
Following closely behind, Deoghar district secured the second position with 8 gold, 7 silver, and 12 bronze medals. The competition saw strong showings from other participating districts, including Hazaribagh (10 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze), Dhanbad (7 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze), East Singhbhum (4 gold, 4 silver, 2 bronze), Chatra (4 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze), Ranchi (4 gold, 2 silver), and Bokaro (5 gold, 1 silver).
Approximately 250 taekwondo athletes from around the state participated in the event. At the concluding ceremony, Jharkhand Taekwondo Association Secretary Neeraj Kumar distributed medals and certificates. He emphasized the positive impact of sports on discipline, confidence, and physical fitness, commending the athletes for their spirited competition. The championship was a showcase of high-level taekwondo skills, with participants impressing the audience with their powerful kicks and technical execution. The event fostered a strong sense of camaraderie and competitive spirit among the young athletes.
