After the truck left, the boyfriend called his girlfriend to meet him near the Gumra Bridge, and they were talking when five youths arrived and started questioning them late at night. The accused first assaulted the boyfriend. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Kathikund police sent the victim for a medical examination. Based on the information provided by the victim, the police arrested the five accused involved in the gang-rape after conducting raids and registered a case under the POSCO Act and various other serious sections.
