In a grim incident on Thursday morning, an auto-rickshaw overturned in Giridih’s Bengabad police station limits, claiming the life of one individual and causing severe injuries to four others, including a young girl. The collision occurred near the Dudhi Tand toll plaza on the busy Giridih-Madhupur main road.
According to preliminary information, the auto was on its way from Kashitand to Budhai for a family ceremony. It is understood that the driver lost control of the auto near the toll plaza, leading to the fatal overturning. Ramchandra Pasi, a 58-year-old resident of Machhuar, was the victim of the accident. The four injured passengers were quickly transported to a medical facility for treatment, thanks to the swift response of nearby villagers. Police are on the scene, investigating the cause of this unfortunate event.
