In a significant operation, Khunti Police in Jharkhand arrested four members of the banned People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI). The arrests were made after the recovery of weapons and ammunition. The individuals arrested have been identified as Pawan Lohra, Vicky Lohra, Arjun Lohra (alias Ishwar or Pecha), and Arpit Kerketta. They were apprehended near a government school in Birhu Uraon Toli. The police seized a pistol, eight bullets, two loaded magazines, a knife, a motorcycle, and a scooter. SP Manish Toppo confirmed the arrests during a press conference, stating that the suspects were gathered with weapons, allegedly planning an act. The four accused have been remanded to judicial custody. The police team that conducted the arrests included several officers. The arrested individuals were reportedly using the Signal mobile app to communicate with PLFI members, receive instructions, and facilitate extortion and create fear. The suspects admitted to various criminal activities, including firing outside a business establishment on the Ranchi-Khunti road and firing at a land dealer’s home.
