After the conclusion of the shraddha ceremony, Chief Minister Hemant Soren immersed the ashes of his father, Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, in the Damodar River at Rajarappa on Sunday. The Chief Minister, along with family members, attended the ceremony at the Rajarappa temple. The immersion was carried out according to traditional Santhali rituals, with the presence of Basant Soren, the Chief Minister’s brother, and other relatives. The event marked the end of the 12-day mourning period, with the family coming to Rajarappa from their ancestral village, Nemra. The atmosphere at the banks of the Damodar River was somber and respectful, as the family conducted the final religious observances.
