The annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is fast approaching, with the event scheduled for June 27th. The ISKCON Temple in Kadma is abuzz with activity as preparations are in their final stages. This year’s Yatra promises to be a grand celebration of faith and devotion.
The procession will feature Lord Jagannath, accompanied by his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, traveling to the Gundicha Mata temple. The Rath Yatra will commence at 3:00 PM from the ISKCON temple and will proceed through key areas of Kadma, including Brahmlok Dham, Kadma Main Road, and Kadma Bazaar, culminating at the Rankini Temple. The event is anticipated to draw thousands of participants.
Prior to the main event, a series of rituals and prayers will be performed from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Prasad will be distributed to devotees from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Rath Yatra will officially begin with a Maha Aarti at 3:00 PM.
During the Yatra, special Maha Aartis will be held at various locations along the route, illuminated by the light of Swarna Deep. Local leaders, social workers, and other respected members of the community will be present to participate in the auspicious event. The Rath Yatra will conclude with a final Maha Aarti and Prasad distribution at the Rankini Temple.
Key figures from the Rath Sanchalan Samiti, including Tārkeshwar Pandit and many other devotees, attended a press conference to provide details about the upcoming event.
