A man in the Koderma district of Jharkhand was killed after being attacked by an elephant while he was attempting to film social media content. The man, identified as Saddam Ansari, was with two friends in the Salaiya Pahari forest when they encountered a herd of elephants. Ansari started taking selfies and making reels, but one of the elephants charged at them. While his companions managed to escape, Ansari got his foot caught and fell. The elephant then trampled him. Ansari was taken to a local hospital and later referred to RIMS in Ranchi, where he died before reaching the hospital. This tragic event highlights the dangers of approaching wild animals for the sake of online popularity. Prior to this, several villagers had been killed by elephants in other parts of Jharkhand in the same year.
