The Jharkhand Police has brought back a notorious criminal, Mayank Singh, from Azerbaijan, marking the first time a criminal has been extradited from a foreign country in the state’s history. Mayank Singh faces numerous serious charges, including shooting, murder, extortion and threats. The ATS team brought him to Birsa Munda Airport amid high security.
Mayank Singh, while residing outside India, continued to run his criminal network. The Jharkhand ATS, led by SP Rishabh Jha, with the cooperation of the Azerbaijan government, apprehended the most wanted criminal. The arrest is a major accomplishment for the Jharkhand Police and the Jharkhand ATS. The police are interrogating him and he will be produced in court. The officials expressed optimism about bringing back other criminals from abroad.
