A contingent of 28 female students from various government schools in East Singhbhum district, having concluded an educational excursion to ISRO, met with Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi. The meeting took place at his residence on Sunday, where the students shared their experiences and participated in a luncheon. The students reflected on their three-day journey, calling it a transformative experience. They highlighted the unique and unforgettable aspects of the trip, including their inaugural experiences traveling beyond their village, flying on an airplane, visiting an airport, exploring a new state, and gaining insights into science, technology, art, and culture. A key highlight was the visit to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at ISRO in Sriharikota, which inspired pride and motivation through observation of satellite launch processes and the work of scientists. Furthermore, tours of Mahabalipuram, museums, and historical sites in Chennai provided an introduction to Indian culture. The technical advancements observed at the RMK Institute of Engineering campus were an informative and inspiring experience. The students also mentioned learning from the discipline and cooperative spirit of the students at the Model School in Kovalam. Visits to the MA Chidambaram Stadium and the Railway Museum provided knowledge of sports and Indian railway history. The students stated that the journey broadened their horizons and felt like a dream come true. Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi commended the students’ enthusiasm and confidence, acknowledging the educational trip as an opportunity to direct their dreams. He emphasized that the fusion of science, culture, and technology would not only educate the students but also empower them. He expressed his belief that these students would become scientists, technical specialists, and inspiring figures in society. The gathering also included Deputy Development Commissioner Nagendra Paswan, DTO Dhananjay, outgoing Executive Magistrate cum DTO Dumka Mrityunjay Kumar, and the teachers and other respected individuals who were present during the excursion.
