A heartbreaking incident has unfolded in Mango, East Singhbhum, where a 42-year-old car driver, Abhijit Ghosh, succumbed to financial despair and ended his life on Sunday night. He was found hanging in his room located in Old Subhash Colony. The family confirmed that he had been battling intense financial hardship and mental stress for an extended duration.
Ghosh’s occupation as a car driver meant he relied on his vehicle, but mounting loan payments became an insurmountable burden. He was reportedly burdened by about 18,000 rupees in pending car installments. His father-in-law further revealed that Abhijit also struggled with substance abuse, which negatively impacted his financial stability and overall well-being. He had reportedly taken up a driving job locally on Sunday and returned home in the evening, after which he committed the tragic act in his room.
Upon noticing his prolonged absence and lack of response, his family forcibly entered his room. They tragically found Abhijit Ghosh hanging. He was immediately transported to MGM Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The family is devastated by the loss. Police have initiated an investigation and sent the body for an autopsy to determine the exact cause and circumstances.
