In Temki village, Latehar, Jharkhand, a food-related illness has led to over 30 children falling sick after eating chow mein. The children were immediately taken to Latehar Sadar Hospital for treatment. Medical staff confirmed that the children are now recovering and out of danger.
The incident unfolded during a fair organized in Temki village on Wednesday, following the Jitiya festival. The children began vomiting after consuming chow mein sold at the fair. Upon learning of the event, local representatives, including District Council member Vinod Uraon and former head Rajesh Uraon, were notified. They worked with the Sadar Hospital to organize ambulances and transport the children for medical attention. Pediatrician Dr. Jai Prakash Jaiswal oversaw the treatment at the hospital. The majority of the children have recovered. Dr. Jaiprakash Jaiswal, the medical officer, confirmed that while some cases were serious, others were less severe. All the children are now in stable condition and out of danger.
