Six fire fighting vehicles rushed to the scene and engaged in a prolonged battle to extinguish the fire, finally succeeding after hours of hard work.
There is a prevailing local theory that the fire was initiated by a spark from celebratory fireworks, which rapidly ignited the scrap materials. The magnitude of the blaze raised alarms as flames neared neighboring residences, but the quick deployment of fire services managed to keep the situation contained. The material loss from this devastating fire is estimated at over five lakh rupees.
