Police are investigating a video posted on social media in which a man threatened to bomb two ministers, Sudivya Kumar and Dr. Irfan Ansari. The authorities are taking the matter seriously.
The video features Ankit Kumar Mishra, a resident of Giridih, claiming he would bomb the ministers within 24 hours. He explained that he faced threats concerning religious conversion and had a land dispute which led to an assault. Mishra is demanding an apology, threatening consequences if his demands are not met. The individual also claims to be associated with a prominent gangster.
The video mentions Jamui, Bihar, and that the person was present at an NDA conference. The man explained that his family did not support him. He has also written a statement that his family members have nothing to do with his actions, and he repeatedly states his only peace will come after bombing the ministers.
Giridih police have acknowledged the video and are investigating the matter. Mufassil Police Station In-charge Inspector Shyam Kishore Mahto has confirmed the video and the ongoing search for the suspect, who is believed to be located in Bihar.
Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu, who was in Koderma, has stated that he was unaware of the incident. He had learned about the video from others. He stated that he didn’t know much about the video itself, and that the police will determine its authenticity. The Minister suggested the video might be fake, possibly created using AI, which should also be investigated.
