Dr. Kushwaha Shashi Bhushan Mehta, the BJP MLA from Panki, Jharkhand, initiated a protest at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi due to a room booking dispute. He shared a video on social media explaining that despite reserving and confirming two rooms, he was only allocated one. The MLA inquired about the occupancy of other rooms, seeking to understand the situation, but his questions remained unanswered. As a form of protest, he sat on the floor of the reception area and had his breakfast there. The MLA criticized the management of the Jharkhand Bhawan, questioning why such an incident occurred, and has requested Chief Minister Hemant Soren to intervene and rectify the issues. The Jharkhand Bhawan, a state-of-the-art building inaugurated on September 3, 2024, boasts 50 guest rooms, suites, and other amenities, constructed with significant investment.
