The BJP MLA from Panki, Jharkhand, Dr. Kushwaha Sashibhushan, expressed his displeasure over not getting a room at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi. He released a video detailing the incident, explaining that he had booked two rooms, and received confirmation, but was told only one room was reserved for him upon arrival. He then enquired about the status of other rooms, probing if any Jharkhand MLAs or ministers were residing there, but was not given a satisfactory answer. The MLA, showing his displeasure, sat on the floor near the reception area and had his breakfast. The MLA raised concerns about the use of the Jharkhand Bhawan, funded by public money, and criticized the treatment of Jharkhand MLAs. He requested Chief Minister Hemant Soren to take appropriate action for the building’s proper management, which should be easily accessible to the MLAs. The Jharkhand Bhawan, a modern edifice with 50 guest rooms, was constructed in Delhi’s Connaught Place and completed in September 2024.
