More Than Six Killed as Auto Is Crushed Under Container on Chandwa Road

A horrific head‑on collision occurred on the Chandwa‑Chapi‑Lohardaga road in Latehar’s Chandwa police area. An auto‑rickshaw heading for Lohardaga met a container truck coming from the opposite direction near the Dhadhtangwa gorge. The force of the impact forced the auto underneath the heavy container, resulting in the immediate death of over six occupants. Rescue teams were quickly dispatched, and the injured were taken to Chandwa medical centre where they are receiving treatment. The district’s D​SP, Sandeep Kumar Gupta, confirmed the casualties and said a full‑scale investigation is underway to determine responsibility for the accident.
