The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has officially announced its recruitment notification (Advt. No. 08/2025) for 3,451 Special Education Assistant Teacher vacancies. These positions are part of the Jharkhand Intermediate and Graduate Trained Special Education Assistant Teacher Joint Competitive Examination 2025 (JIGTSEATCCE‑2025) and are regular appointments.
This initiative focuses on strengthening special education services in Jharkhand’s primary schools by hiring qualified intermediate and graduate-trained teachers. The JSSC has made the application process entirely online, making it accessible for candidates across the state. Full details are available on the JSSC’s official portal.
Candidates can submit their online applications starting December 14, 2025. The deadline for application submission, registration, and fee payment is January 13, 2026, at midnight. Applicants must complete all steps online through the JSSC website.
The application fee is ₹100 for general category candidates. For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and specific reserved categories of Jharkhand, the fee is ₹50. Payments must be made online, and are non-refundable. Candidates should carefully review the eligibility criteria and ensure all uploaded documents are accurate to avoid disqualification.
Eligibility is strictly based on specialized training in special education. A general B.Ed or D.El.Ed alone is insufficient. Graduate-trained applicants need a graduate degree plus a Special B.Ed or a general B.Ed with a special education diploma/certificate. Intermediate-trained applicants require intermediate education and specific special education diploma qualifications.
The selection process involves a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with multiple-choice questions. The exam consists of three papers: Paper 1 (General Hindi & a Language), Paper 2 (Jharkhand Regional/State Languages), and Paper 3 (GK, Current Affairs, Child Development, Pedagogy, Special/Inclusive Education, and Jharkhand General Studies). The merit list will be based on the total marks obtained.
Selected teachers will receive a salary as per Jharkhand’s revised teacher service rules, corresponding to approximately Level-6. Reservation benefits will be provided according to state government policy for various categories. Only candidates with a Jharkhand domicile are eligible for reservation; others will be considered under the unreserved category.
