Security forces in East Singhbhum district achieved a significant victory in their fight against Naxalism by recovering Rs 35 lakh during an operation on Sunday. Acting on specific intelligence, a joint team involving the police, Jharkhand Jaguar, and CRPF unearthed the cash, which was concealed underground in a forest. Initial investigations suggest the funds were earmarked for Maoist activities, specifically tunnel construction and the purchase of explosives. A detailed investigation is underway to identify the source of the money and the individuals involved, as confirmed by the Chaibasa Superintendent of Police.
