Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu, a key figure in the BJP’s state executive, has strongly condemned Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s recent ‘ox’ comment. Sahu clarified that the ‘ox’ in question represents a public servant elected by a massive mandate and a significant tribal leader, not a common animal. He underscored the ox’s symbolic importance to rural communities, the impoverished, and agricultural workers, acknowledging its vital role in food security. Sahu criticized the mindset of those who disregard the ox’s contribution after utilizing its services, becoming arrogant and resorting to disrespectful language. He asserted that the sentiment of the village, the poor, and the farmer is now fully aligned with this ‘ox.’ This ‘ox,’ he emphasized, is now galvanized by public outrage and collective resolve. The former Chief Minister, subjected to this demeaning ‘ox’ comparison, has a consistent track record of public trust. Sahu issued a direct challenge, predicting that the public will deliver a decisive verdict against this insult, and the Hemant government should anticipate a severe reckoning, akin to the unstoppable force of an ox. He elaborated on the prevailing public mood, expressing deep frustration with alleged corruption, misinformation, and resource pilfering. Sahu highlighted severe inadequacies in the state’s health, education, and infrastructure sectors. He also pointed to rampant illegal mining of sand, stone, and minerals, coupled with growing disillusionment among the youth and rising safety concerns for women and schoolgirls. Sahu concluded that the public is fully prepared to lead the state out of its current challenging circumstances.
