At Sainik School Tilaiya in Koderma, the ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat-1/25’ national camp has become a melting pot of cultures and camaraderie, featuring 601 NCC cadets from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand. This 12-day event, organized by the Bihar and Jharkhand NCC Directorate and overseen by Colonel Vijay Kumar (SM) of the 45 Jharkhand Battalion NCC Koderma, dedicated its sixth day to an array of activities including physical conditioning, inter-cadet competitions, and informative workshops. The overarching goal is to weave a stronger fabric of national unity.
The camp curriculum was enriched by the presence of the EXPA Group from Bengaluru, whose team, led by Anish Rahul, conducted vital sessions. Cadets benefited from expert guidance on developing self-confidence, enhancing public speaking abilities, practicing self-reflection, and cultivating leadership qualities. Rahul explained the EXPA Group’s commitment to providing a collaborative space for NCC cadets, fostering a sense of civic responsibility, and promoting international understanding, all through completely free training modules focused on critical thinking and self-awareness.
A highlight of the camp is the ongoing preparation for cultural presentations under the direction of Second Officer Abhijit Anand and Third Officer Naveen Choudhary. NCC officers and girl cadet instructors are working together to showcase the unique cultural heritage of their respective states, thereby promoting national integration and mutual respect.
Subedar Major Arvind Kumar is ensuring high standards of health and discipline throughout the camp. The efficient management of training schedules and logistical support is a collective effort, involving Lieutenant Santosh Kumar and a dedicated team of senior non-commissioned officers and staff from the 45 Jharkhand Battalion. The ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ camp is proving to be an invaluable experience, preparing these cadets for future leadership roles and strengthening their commitment to a unified India.
