In Brussels, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar addressed the ongoing challenges, asserting that the situation is not simply a conflict between India and Pakistan, but a response to the threat of terrorism. He reaffirmed India’s unwavering stance against terrorism and its commitment to not be swayed by nuclear threats. In response to questions concerning the India-Pakistan dynamic, Jaishankar advocated for a change in perspective, suggesting the framing of it as ‘India-Terroristan’ to emphasize the focus on combating terrorism. He also emphasized the need for robust international cooperation in addressing terrorism, framing it as a shared and interconnected global challenge. Discussions with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, also included global order, the Ukraine conflict, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, and the Indo-Pacific.
