India Battles Extreme Heat as IMD Issues Alerts

The department predicts that these extreme conditions will persist for at least three more days before easing slightly. In Maharashtra, the Vidarbha region remains under red alert for today and tomorrow, with neighboring districts on orange alert. In northern India, while Punjab and Haryana may experience marginal relief in some districts due to shifting winds, most areas will continue to face heatwave risks. The IMD continues to issue daily updates and safety recommendations to help communities cope with the ongoing crisis.
