The Motilal Oswal Foundation announced a donation of ₹172 crore to IIM Raipur and NIT Raipur. IIM Raipur will receive ₹101 crore, while NIT Raipur will receive ₹71 crore. This donation will be used to establish 202 rooms in the “Oswal Hostel” and the “Dau Ram Gopal Agarwal Knowledge Center” at IIM Raipur. Additionally, six international MBA programs will be launched in collaboration with top institutions from the United States, Britain, France, and Germany.
Similarly, the “Smt. Mithilesh Agarwal Centre of Excellence” will be established at NIT Raipur, focusing on deep-tech areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things, blockchain, and clean energy.
The center aims to train over 10,000 youth by 2030, incubate over 250 startups, and generate over 5,000 skilled jobs. This initiative is tailored to the industrial needs of Chhattisgarh, particularly in the mining, steel, and manufacturing sectors, and will focus on solutions to real-world problems in collaboration with local industries.
