Gujarat first state to supply uniforms for anganwadi children

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani Tuesday initiated a state-wide pre-school uniform distribution programme for college kids of 53,029 anganwadis within the state.

When private nursery schools can have uniforms, why not anganwadi children? They will look smart in uniforms and also attract other children to the anganwadis.” Under the scheme, every little one will likely be given two units of uniforms — a gray pinafore skirt for ladies and gray shorts for boys, with beige examine shirts for each.
