A picnic outing in Madhya Pradesh turned into a health crisis, resulting in the hospitalization of over twelve people. The incident occurred at Ajaygarh fort, where a group from Sahai village in Panna district consumed puris prepared with ghee. Following the meal, the individuals experienced symptoms of food poisoning and were taken to a nearby hospital. Upon investigation, the Food Department discovered preliminary evidence suggesting that the ghee used for the puris was adulterated. The department has collected samples of the ghee for detailed testing. The administration has pledged to take decisive action against those involved in selling or distributing contaminated food. The source of the ghee is also under investigation, with sampling being conducted at the shop.
