Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has launched a scathing attack on the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led government, denouncing the alleged irregularities and mass cheating in the police recruitment examination. He described the recruitment process as a mockery, with videos showing blatant cheating and group work, highlighting the criminal nature of the situation. The ex-CM emphasized that the police recruitment was the only significant recruitment during the current government’s term and raised questions about the transparency of the process. He criticized the lack of transparency, demanding the release of CCTV footage. Thakur pointed out arrests made in connection to the case and added that deeper investigation is needed. He also raised concerns about reports of candidates being promised success in exchange for money and called for a state-wide probe. The former CM also criticized the government on multiple fronts, including its handling of disaster relief and employment.
