Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently in Assam as part of his three-day tour. He previously visited Manipur, where he initiated several development projects in Mizoram, Aizawl, and Churachandpur. In Assam, the Prime Minister attended the function commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of Bhupen Hazarika on September 13. A comprehensive plan for Assam’s advancement is scheduled for September 14th, with projects worth more than Rs. 18,530 crore scheduled for inauguration or commencement. The first event is planned for Darrang, which includes the foundation stone laying for a Medical College and Hospital, a Nursing College, and the Guwahati Ring Road Project. The Assam Bioethanol Plant at Numaligarh Refinery Limited in Golaghat will be inaugurated, which represents a significant stride in advancing clean energy. Additionally, the foundation stone will be laid for the Polypropylene Plant at Numaligarh Refinery, which is aimed at enhancing the local economy and creating jobs.
