Mahipalpur, Delhi – A noise resembling an explosion near the Radisson Hotel on Thursday morning caused a significant security stir, prompting the rapid deployment of emergency personnel. Police and bomb disposal units were on high alert, a response amplified by the recent terror attack at the Red Fort. However, the situation was quickly resolved as Delhi Police confirmed the sound was not from an explosive device but from a burst tyre. The incident began around 9:18 AM when a loud bang was reported by a person in the vicinity. As a safety precaution, the Fire Department sent three tenders, and police secured the area while bomb detection teams were present. A subsequent local inquiry identified the cause: the rear tyre of a DTC bus en route to Dhaula Kuan had burst. Authorities have since assured the public that the situation is under control and poses no threat. This event occurred during a period of heightened nationwide security following the deadly car blast on November 10th near the Red Fort, which killed 12 people. The Central government has labelled the Red Fort incident a ‘terrorist incident,’ and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is actively probing the matter.
