An incident of misconduct occurred on IndiGo flight 6E 6571, which was scheduled to travel from Delhi to Kolkata on September 1st. A passenger, reported to be a lawyer, created a disturbance by shouting religious slogans, specifically “Har Har Mahadev” and “Jai Shri Ram.” The disruptive behavior started while the aircraft was parked. The airline reported the passenger was intoxicated, misbehaving with the cabin crew, and disturbing other passengers. The individual was also allegedly carrying liquor in a soft drink bottle and made an inappropriate comment to a crew member. Though the passenger denied keeping alcohol in the bottle, they admitted to having consumed alcohol earlier. It was also reported that the passenger asked a crew member to recite a religious slogan. Separately, IndiGo flight 6E 812 from Nagpur to Kolkata encountered a bird strike shortly after take-off on Tuesday and was subsequently canceled for the day due to required inspection and maintenance.
