Intense rainfall and thunderstorms brought Delhi to a standstill on Tuesday, causing widespread flooding and traffic chaos. Connaught Place (CP), a vital commercial and business center, bore the brunt of the downpour, receiving over 100.2 mm of rain in just two hours. This resulted in extensive waterlogging, severely impacting the movement of vehicles and people. Footage shared online showed roads submerged, with vehicles struggling to move through the floodwaters, causing significant delays and difficulties for commuters, particularly those on two-wheelers. The impact wasn’t limited to CP; other areas of Delhi also experienced similar flooding issues. Delhi Police provided traffic advisories and route diversions to assist citizens in navigating the flooded areas and minimize disruptions.
