A father and daughter were critically injured in Delhi due to a tree falling during a period of heavy rainfall. The incident occurred in the Kalkaji area of South Delhi. CCTV footage showed an old neem tree uprooting at approximately 9:50 AM and falling onto a biker and two nearby vehicles near Paras Chowk. Those trapped were assisted by onlookers, and the injured were promptly transported to the AIIMS Trauma Centre. The victims, identified as 50-year-old Sudhir Kumar and his 22-year-old daughter Priya, are currently receiving medical attention. The fallen tree also damaged several parked cars and blocked the road. Police acted quickly, cutting the tree into smaller sections to clear the area. The heavy rains have caused significant disruption across Delhi, including waterlogging and traffic jams. The Delhi Police issued alerts and advisories for commuters, and Delhi Airport advised passengers to consider using the Metro to avoid delays.
