CUET-UG outcomes delayed, officers say could also be out by 2 am

NEW DELHI: The outcomes for the debut version of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG will take extra time and are prone to be introduced by 2 am Friday, in response to NTA officers.
Earlier through the day, UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar had stated the outcomes will probably be declared by 10 pm on Thursday. “It is a huge database given a large number of papers and subject combinations. The candidates have applied for 54,555 unique combination of subjects. The results should be up by around 2 am,” a senior National Testing Agency (NTA) official stated late Thursday evening.
The debut version of CUET-UG, a gateway for undergraduate admissions, started in July and concluded on August 30.
According to the preliminary plan, all phases of the CUET-UG have been scheduled to conclude on August 20.
However, the examination was additional deferred and break up into six phases to accommodate college students whose examination was rescheduled attributable to a number of glitches that marred the check.
From technical glitches to last-minute change in examination centre and uninformed adjustments in examination dates to confess playing cards mentioning previous dates, the scholars confronted a number of points through the examination.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) chief had earlier stated the examination was cancelled at a number of centres following stories of “sabotage”.
