The Delhi Environment Minister, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, reignited the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ controversy surrounding former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence, suggesting it could only function as a luxury hotel. Sirsa also addressed the criticism surrounding the renovation expenses of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s residence, claiming the costs are approximately Rs 50 lakh. He highlighted the lavish features of Kejriwal’s residence, like expensive toilet seats and remote-controlled curtains. He noted that Rekha Gupta is residing in a standard home. The renovation work for Gupta’s residence involves electrical and interior fittings. The plan involves five televisions, fourteen air conditioners, fourteen CCTV cameras, and a UPS system.
