Bihar is poised for a significant infrastructure boost with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Gaya on August 22nd. The visit will witness the inauguration of multiple projects valued at Rs 13,000 crore, including the state’s first six-lane bridge over the Ganges, the Aunta-Simaria bridge. This bridge, constructed using expansion cable technology, spans 8.15 km, and will greatly improve connectivity and cut down travel time. Additionally, the Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama section of NH 31, Buxar Thermal Power Plan, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre will be inaugurated. The Prime Minister will also lay foundation stones for various development projects that include STP and sewerage networks, and the flagging off of the Amrit Bharat train and the Buddhist Circuit Train, which will link important Buddhist sites in Bihar and Jharkhand.
