A shocking case of murder has emerged from Chikmagalur, Karnataka, where a 56-year-old woman is accused of killing her husband, with her 33-year-old boyfriend and two others allegedly assisting in the crime. Meenakshamma, Pradeep, Siddesh, and Vishwas, all residents of Kadur, have been arrested in connection to the death of 60-year-old Subramanya.
The investigation started after Meenakshamma reported her husband missing on June 2. Following up on the report, the police used mobile data to search for Subramanya. The search led them to railway tracks where they discovered a partially burned body. CCTV footage helped the police to connect Subramanya to Pradeep, Siddesh, and Vishwas.
After questioning the individuals seen in the footage, they confessed to their involvement. The investigation exposed a relationship between Meenakshamma and Pradeep. To conceal their affair, the couple avoided direct communication, however, police discovered Meenakshamma was frequently contacting a number registered under Pradeep’s mother, which he was actually using.
The investigation revealed the timeline of the murder, which took place on May 31. Pradeep and the others took Subramanya to a remote location, where they consumed alcohol. After getting Subramanya drunk, Pradeep is accused of slitting his throat. They attempted to burn the body but abandoned the effort.
Authorities suggest that Meenakshamma plotted the murder because Subramanya opposed her relationship with Pradeep. Meenakshamma and Subramanya have two daughters and grandchildren. Meenakshamma and Pradeep had been in a relationship for several years.
