UPI users need to be aware of upcoming changes taking effect on August 1, 2025. These updates, introduced by the NPCI, will impact how users manage and interact with UPI. Key changes involve restrictions on balance checks (50 times per day), viewing linked bank accounts (25 times per day), and payment status checks (3 times per day, with a 90-second interval). AutoPay transactions will have designated time slots. Chargebacks will be limited. These adjustments are part of an effort to improve the efficiency and reliability of the UPI system, addressing reported issues of transaction delays and service disruptions. The NPCI is working to streamline the system to reduce user issues.
