As part of Independence Day celebrations, all mosques, dargahs, and madrasas in Chhattisgarh will be hoisting the tricolor flag. The Chhattisgarh Waqf Board has issued an order to this effect. The order mandates the hoisting of the national flag at the main entrances of these institutions on August 15th, marking the 78th Independence Day of the country. The Waqf Board has sent letters to all Mutawallis, instructing them to conduct a respectful flag hoisting ceremony and include the national anthem. Dr. Salim Raj, the Waqf Board President, stated that the decision seeks to reinforce the message of national unity, communal harmony, and brotherhood.
