The Supreme Court is reviewing allegations of baby swapping at a private hospital in Raipur. A couple alleges that their newborns were exchanged. The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing for the petition in four weeks. The petition alleges that a baby boy was swapped with a girl immediately after delivery. The couple is also demanding the filing of an FIR against the hospital. The case challenges the Chhattisgarh High Court’s decision to not order an FIR against the director of the private hospital in Raipur and his wife (a gynecologist at the hospital) for allegedly swapping the newborns.
