The Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh is reeling from a tragic incident. A CAF jawan stationed in the Bayaanar area, known for its Naxal influence, has died by suicide. The deceased has been identified as Dinesh Singh Chandel, who was serving as a platoon commander.
Reportedly, Chandel used his service rifle to end his life. The sound of the gunshot caused immediate panic, and camp personnel quickly converged at the scene, finding the platoon commander’s body. The local authorities were notified, and an investigation has commenced.
The police have taken possession of the body and are conducting a post-mortem. The cause of the suicide is currently unknown, and no suicide note has been recovered.
