Chhattisgarh experienced light to moderate rainfall across all divisions in the last day. Several areas, including Raipur, received significant rainfall overnight, with intermittent showers continuing into Friday. The meteorological department anticipates that this weather pattern will persist for the next two days, with a chance of moderate to heavy rainfall in some areas. Sadly, the rains have also been accompanied by tragedy, with lightning strikes claiming the lives of six people on Wednesday. Gariaband saw two fatalities, while four lives were lost in Raigarh district. Preliminary reports suggest the victims were either seeking refuge under trees or returning from their fields when the lightning struck.
