Under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district witnessed a flurry of developmental activities. During a visit on Thursday, Sao, who is also the Public Health Engineering Minister, inaugurated Atal complexes and unveiled statues dedicated to Atal Bihari Vajpayee across four urban areas: Sarangarh, Pavni, Bhatgaon, and Sarsinwa. Sao highlighted that the state of Chhattisgarh was envisioned by Vajpayee, and these complexes were a tribute to his legacy. Local residents were encouraged to keep these facilities clean and safe. Key announcements included a 5.30 crore water augmentation project and PM housing for 26 families in Pavni, with 1.64 crore from councilor funds and 1 crore for further development. Bhatgaon saw the completion of a 14 crore water augmentation project, along with approvals for PM housing for 99 families (3.05 crore) and 1 crore for additional development. Sarsinwa received 2 crore for development initiatives, an 8.50 crore tap water connection project, and PM housing for 31 families. In Sarangarh, an 8.18 crore allocation was approved, which included a 6.40 crore drainage construction plan and a 4.41 crore allocation for a 250-seater Nalanda Library, plus 2 crore for other projects. The Deputy CM also presented keys to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, underscoring the government’s commitment to providing housing for every deserving citizen. The initiatives are expected to foster significant progress in the district.
