*Rural bank branch opened in Pameda, Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai virtually inaugurated*

Raipur, the Pameda, once considered the stronghold of Maoists’ Battalion No. 1, is now seeing the opening of banks, the construction of Kanya Ashram and people participating in good governance camps with open hearts. This is the changed Bastar – a symbol of self-confidence, development and democracy. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said this while inaugurating the branch of Chhattisgarh Grameen Bank in the remote and formerly Maoist-affected Pameda area of Bijapur district today. Chief Minister Shri Sai, calling it a new dawn of development and trust, said that now the villagers will not have to go to Awapalli, 100 kilometers away, for banking services. This initiative reflects the government’s vision of good governance and inclusive development.
The Chief Minister said that 50 villages of Pameda and its surroundings will directly benefit from this bank branch, where it will now be convenient to open an account, withdraw money and receive the amount of schemes like Mahtari Vandan Yojana. He especially assured the mothers and sisters that they will not have to travel long distances for the amount of the scheme.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a 50-seater tribal Kanya Ashram in Pameda, which cost Rs 1.62 crore. He said that through the Kanya Ashram, in the coming time, the daughters of Bastar, by joining the mainstream of education and development, will provide new leadership to Bastar, providing new heights of development to the region.
The Chief Minister said that a Nutrition Rehabilitation Center (NRC) is now being established in Pameda so that malnourished children around do not have to wander for treatment. He urged the villagers to bring the children to the Nutrition Rehabilitation Center on time and get health benefits.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the construction of Dharmavaram Bridge on the Talperu river is going on rapidly, which will now eliminate the compulsion of going to Bijapur by covering a distance of 200 kilometers via Cherla of Telangana. This bridge will not only connect Pameda, but will also become the main gateway to regional development.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that while increasing the facility of movement, the government has started a direct bus service between Pameda and Bijapur. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that it is now possible to go in the morning and return in the evening. People’s daily routine has become simpler and trade-service activities have increased rapidly.
A solution camp was also organized under ‘Sushasan Tihar’ on this occasion, in which regional public problems were resolved quickly. The Chief Minister said that this campaign is proof of our commitment to provide administration to the people of Chhattisgarh at their doorstep.
A large number of villagers were present in the solution camp. Shri Mahesh Gagda, District Panchayat President Smt. Janki Korsa, Collector Shri Sambit Mishra, Superintendent of Police Dr. Jitendra Kumar Yadav, local public representatives and other officials were present on this occasion.
