Raipur, September 30, 2025/ On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai’s visionary leadership and Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, the country’s first state-of-the-art smart registration office was inaugurated in Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur. The office was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Shri Arun Sao. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Tourism Minister Shri Rajesh Agarwal and Shri School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav along with other distinguished public representatives were present.
On this occasion, Mrs. Veena Dewangan of Raipur got the sale deed done and made digital payment. Her registration was displayed by making cashless payment in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma.
Based on PPP model – Registration will now be fast, transparent and convenient
This office has been prepared on the PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model, with the aim of making citizen services faster, more transparent and in line with modern standards. Now, instead of going to crowded government offices to get the registration of a house, shop or land, citizens will be able to get their registration done in 12 to 15 minutes in an environment like passport and airport offices.
Equipped with modern facilities – citizens will get a better experience
The new smart registration offices have been designed to give citizens a pleasant and convenient experience. Its main features include a state-of-the-art and air-conditioned complex, where citizens will be able to wait for their turn comfortably. Free Wi-Fi and charging stations are available here so that people can make the most of their time. The queue-management system and digital display board will get rid of long queues and information about documents and fees will be available immediately. Trained helpdesk staff will assist citizens at every step. Special attention has been given to cleanliness and convenience with clean drinking water and airport-style washrooms.
The goal is to make 117 registration offices smart
The Chhattisgarh government has set a target to equip all 117 registration offices in the state with world-class facilities within the next one year. In the first phase, 10 offices are being developed, out of which this office in Nava Raipur is fully ready. Seeing the success of this model, the Government of India is also considering developing registration offices across the country on the same lines.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that the smart registration office is the beginning of a new era of good governance and citizen facilities in the state. This initiative will further empower Chhattisgarh as a welfare state. He said that this initiative underlines the fact that citizen convenience is the basis of good governance.
The two Deputy Chief Ministers, congratulating and wishing the departmental minister and Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary on this occasion, said that this initiative is a new model of citizen facilities not only in Chhattisgarh but also in the entire country. He said that such state-of-the-art facilities in government offices certainly reflect the changes taking place in Chhattisgarh and the new direction of good governance.
Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary said that citizen services are our top priority and the smart registration office is a direct result of the government’s commitment to good governance and citizen convenience. He said that in the coming time, this state will lead the country not only in registration services but also in other citizen services. Smart registration offices will bring ease, transparency and trust in the lives of citizens and will establish a new identity of good governance.
