A major accident occurred at a private steel plant in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on Friday. A part of the plant, which was under construction, suddenly collapsed. The collapse resulted in the deaths of six workers who were trapped under the debris. In addition, six to seven workers were injured and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Some of the injured are in serious condition. The incident caused panic and chaos at the plant. Several police officers were present at the scene, and rescue operations were immediately initiated. Plant management has not yet released an official statement about the accident. Initial reports suggest that a blast caused the incident. The roof of the under-construction plant collapsed following the blast, trapping several workers. Rescue operations are ongoing. Six bodies have been recovered, and there are fears that more people may be trapped. The incident was confirmed by Raipur SSP Lal Umed Singh. The accident took place within the Dharsiwa police station limits. Senior police officials from Raipur arrived at the site soon after receiving information. Rescue operations are currently underway, and police and administrative officials are monitoring the situation. There are concerns that the number of casualties and injuries may increase. SSP Lal Umed Singh stated that authorities received a report that some people were trapped after a roof collapsed near Godavari Ispat. Police and other officials reached the site, and the rescue operation began. Six bodies have been recovered, and six injured individuals have been rescued. The rescue operation continues.
